About the Daijiken Dojo

The Daijiken Karate-Kobudo Dojo is dedicated to promoting traditional Okinawan martial arts on a not for profit basis. Emphasis is placed on personal development through a respectful training atmosphere. To the Daijiken Karate is: Koki and Misogi (Purification through self- challenge).

We practice the full curriculum of Okinawan Kenshi-Kai Goju Ryu Karate-jutsu and Hokama Kobu-jutsu (weapons) as taught by Grand Master Tetsuhiro Hokama and Luis Morales Hanshi. We are officially affiliated with the Hokubei (North American) Okinawa Goju-ryu Karate-jutsu Kenshi-kai headed by Luis Morales Hanshi on behalf of Grand Master Tetsuhiro Hokama and are members of its Canadian Association, the Hokubei Kenshi-kai Canada.
We have been promoting and teaching traditional Okinawan karate and kobudo in the Chelsea and Wakefield area in Quebec for over 15 years.

The Chief Instructor (Shihan-Sensei) is Mathieu Ravignat, Kyoshi (7th degree black belt).
